Common object was founded by Fernando Ramirez and Justin Beitzel over a shared vision of how design should be used to shape our world. The studio represents years of conversations about life that go far beyond design. We deeply consider our communities and the impact design has on them. We believe inclusivity throughout the design process is not only the right thing to do but the best thing to do. 

Our backgrounds are broad, stemming from environmental design, interiors, teaching,  industrial design, engineering, and music. Our common thread is that we both have a passion for bringing our understanding of human centered and sustainable design into every project we take on.
